Chiang Chi Ming 's creation is concerned with how to shape the work into an object to be viewed, trying to let the viewer enter the perspective of the creator. Since 2012, Chiang Chi Ming has been continuously creating "idols and images" in form through sculpture. ", the labor of carving is more like a ritual process. For him, the creative process is a constant search for the existence of "others". Chiang Chi Ming 's theme presentation generally focuses on "me and others", " "Other", "other relationship".
The sculpture of a girl is the starting point ofChiang Chi Ming 's creation, and it was also the projection of his subjective emotions. Through the process of sculpture, he tried to relieve the tension and anxiety of getting along with the opposite sex. As time went by, he began to shape his works into subjects to be viewed, trying to bring the audience into the perspective of the creator. Sculptures also became Chiang Chi Ming 's window to observe the atmosphere of the times and face the world.
The "Forest" series is one of the works developed by Chiang Chi Ming in the past two years. He uses the dismantled parts of early buildings as the main materials, and further develops this series of works by creating at home, combining these broken pieces. Blocks recreate a miniature world. He chose Taiwanese cypress wood, which can still retain its fragrance even after half a century, as the main creative material to respond to the deconstructed and constructed sculptural forms in the objects. He retains part of the paint color in his creations, allowing viewers to feel the story of the traces and the relationship between the carved objects, and also allows these materials to present a new vocabulary in the works. The plural concepts of "forest", "cluster" and "group" are used to respond to the relationship between contemporary individuals and groups, and the relationship between different perspectives is wandered between the works through the microscopic view, sometimes focusing and sometimes blurring, using different symbols, Characters respond to emotional and social perspectives.
